Colleton Record Contacts
Use the office that holds the record. The Sheriff's Office handles county detention and its records process. The Clerk of Court maintains filed criminal case records, while the court outcome, rather than a booking entry, is the place to verify a disposition.

Clerk of Court information
Choose the route that matches the question. The links below are official starting points and do not substitute for an agency's current answer.
- For current county custody, use the CCSO Current Inmates portal or call the Detention Center. A current roster entry is not a court disposition.
- For a county booking record or photo outside the live roster, use the Colleton County custody and records path and CCSO's FOIA process.
- For a warrant concern, contact CCSO Warrants/Civil Process or consult the Clerk and the Most Wanted routing information. Do not rely on an unofficial listing to establish a warrant.
- For a criminal case status or final disposition, contact the Clerk or use the South Carolina Judicial Branch case search.
- For a person sentenced to and physically held by the state, use the South Carolina Department of Corrections inmate search; it is not a county-detention roster.
- For federal prison or ICE detention, use the BOP Inmate Locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator, as applicable.
